Hey there! My name is Suhavi and I like to build cool stuff. I graduated from McMaster University as a software engineer.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of us had to move to working remotely. I noticed some of the hardships that come with WFH and have been working on a platform that makes team collaboration just a little easier :) Built using VueJS, Node, Socket.io, Nuxt, Firebase and Heroku. Feel free to try it out using the roomcode 'test', no password required.
Being part of the technical team of McMaster's hackathon, I worked on the app that hackers submitted their project to, which the judges used to mark projects. It was built using VueJS, Firebase, and deployed using Netlify.
Being part of DeltaHacks, I got to learn VueJS and worked with a design team to bring our ideas to life.
A simulation of the cryptocurrency market, for anyone that wants to experiment. Made using Node.js and socket.io
Winner at HackWestern 3 for best use of the Weather Network's API and best IoT hack. An alarm clock that tells you what to wear in the morning based on the weather in your area. Made using the Qualcomm DragonBoard 410c, the Weather Network API and the indico.io API for clothing choices.
Worked in a team of 3 to develop a password manager that encrypts your usernames and passwords and securely stores them in an SQLite database. I worked on the UI and input/output functionality in Python.
Worked in a team of 4 to develop a web app that makes cooking easy for college students by letting you input ingredients you have lying around and suggesting recipes based on a depth-first-search algorithm implemented in Java. I developed the web scraper to gather recipes and deployed the app on Google Web Toolkit.
